As a model, I have worked with too many make-up artists to count. Regardless their name or what they looked like, what I do remember is the amazing tips and products that I have accumulated the last 5 years I've been working. I understand that I labeled this a "fashion" blog, but I figure that these goods have really made a statement for me, so I hope they do the same for you.
1. Beauty Blender: Blends foundation and concealer flawlessly, making it seem as though your skin is nude or air brushed.
2. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: Perfect for a sheer coverage and also has spf in it. I use this during the day to ensure protection from the sun and also to even out my skin tone.
3. Philosophy "The Supernatural": I have been using this mineral foundation for the last five years of my life and will continue to use it until they discontinue the product. Amazing coverage, yet natural looking. It is definitely buildable, and has seen my skin on the bad days and the good. I have very acne prone skin and this stuff has never been a problem.
4. Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo in Laguna/Orgasm: This is another product that I refuse to replace. Laguna is the perfect bronzer because it has just enough shimmer to create a glow without making you look like an oily mess. The shade is also a neutral brown so you don't look like Snooki. And Orgasm is the perfect shade for blush. The coral color and golden glitter creates a youthful glow and is just enough of a pop of color.
5. Urban Decay Naked Palette and Primer: Has every perfect shade you gals who love neutral tones. I can honestly say that if I threw away all of my eyeshadow except this palette, I would be totally content. Lighter colors are perfect for daytime or natural eye make-up and darker shades makes the perfect mixture for smokey eyes.
6. Bare Essentials Buxom Mascara: This mascara adds enough length and volume before your lashes look like clumpy spider legs. The trick is the apply several coats to one eye at a time to make them as long and dark as possible.
7. Tart Amazonian Clay Liner: Having oily skin has always been a nightmare when it comes to my eyelids. Sure, I won't be as prone to wrinkles early, but being a fan of cat-eye liner and oily lids is a bad combo. This stuff stays on all day and never fades. My lines look dark throughout the day and never rub onto the upper eye space as other liners have. It is also waterproof, but easily comes of with face wash or wipes, which is usually rare in my opinion. Anything waterproof for me leaves me rubbing my eyes and picking the mascara off, but this stuff is smooth sailing.
8. Philosophy's Purity: Hands down best face wash to ever be created. As I mentioned, I have always had acne prone skin and have tried an insane amount of washes ranging from 5$-120$ and this by far takes the prize. It completely cleanses the skin without irritating or over-drying it. My make-up just rinses off my face after going out at night and also cleans it so well that I never need toner.
9. Bliss Spa's Oxygenating Mask: This product has been my savior on mornings where I can't look hungover or tired for work. The oxygen is delivered into the skin through a foam that has the most delicious citrus scent. When were tired, less oxygen flows through our blood, in turn showing signs through various places including our skin. After I use this, my skin is literally glowing and refreshed and basically fakes a long nights rest for me.
